I was given the task of creating a production about the War of Independence and that is what you will see.
A series of notes, images and actions which deal with the war for independence, to make people independent of commitments to their banks; of children when they become our judge jury and jailers and stop being charming; of a life which is becoming more ridiculous and challenging every minute; of the price of petrol and of the constant barrage of television. It is also about battles lost in the face of custom and tradition, silent breakfast hostilities, and the war of rubbish lorries. No comments are necessary on the crusade of the ruling class against the fundamental elements of philosophy, ethics and knowledge.
But in the end, the production will be aiming its message at the private struggle to make ourselves independent of the opinions that others spit out at us without the slightest qualm; mere mirages when you realise that each one of us dies alone... Let’s see how we can organise ourselves to live together in peace.
